I hear drums in the distance, and war cries. Or maybe those are echoes of another era.. .

Holiday plans, Christmas 2023 and New Years 2024, going to the grand canyon, for 10 days, sister from Texas, will drive over, with her group, and  always wanted to.

My kid the truck driver, will be checking out new jobs for more cash, and looking at new housing, during the next couple of months.Dental issues getting me down. Need a helping hand, to get the things done, car in the shop, got rear end on the evening  dusk, by a BMW, insured by AAA, third car not insured, and has outdated tags.
Checking on prices  to change that.
I hear drums in the distance, and war cries. Or maybe those are echoes of another era.. .
Don't be sad if you don't have a Valentine . On Valentine's Day most people didn't have AIDS on World AIDS day either .

I tied my trusty four legged mount to a hitching post, hoping this new fangled electronic device, the portal to invisible electronic frontiers, might yield something resembling elevated human communication perhaps leading to actual contact.

An eery pre-Holloween silence resounds. The crickets are frozen, few birds are chirping.

I saw a wild turkey out in yonder hedge. I'm pulling out my bow to dispatch it for supper. (have to be quiet, guns aren't in order- don't want to roust the neighbors. Life in the city) I have a pot of beans on, and a bit of dried venison to chew on until the turkey is done cooking.
